Golf solitaire: seven columns of five face-up cards and the rest in the stock. Move cards one higher or one lower than the top of the waste until the columns are empty. Rules you learn in ten seconds, games of a few minutes, and comfortable to play with one finger.

Every game can be won. Many Golf deals have no solution; here we only deal the ones that do, checked beforehand with the rule of your level. If a move leaves you stuck, we tell you and you can go back to where it still could be won. The hint always takes you along the winning path.

One tap. Tap a card and it goes to the waste; tap the stock for a new card.

Three levels and three modes. Classic with Ace and King wrapping, not wrapping, or nothing on a King, a Daily challenge with the same deal for everyone, and Zen with no timer or move count.

How to play

The bottom card of a column goes on the waste if it is one higher or one lower than the top card: on a 7, a 6 or an 8. Suits don't matter. If nothing fits, turn a card from the stock; you go through it only once. You win when all seven columns are empty.

Tips to get started

• The handiest card isn't always the right one: look for the longest ladder.
• Before turning a card, check for any move left: every stock card counts.
• Clear first the columns whose cards have no neighbours in sight.
